Actress Viola Davis: ‘I Blew My Back Out’ Filming Sex Scenes with Co-Star –
According to the show’s star, Emmy and Academy award winner Viola Davis, it’s the sex scenes, not the plot twists, which she feels go too far. Emmy-winner Viola Davis spoke about her sexy love scenes on “How to Get Away with Murder” with ‘Sway in the Morning’ on SiriusXM, and she revealed that her commitment to the act with co-star Billy Brown (Nate Lahey) resulted in a back injury.
“I blew my back out,” Davis, 50, said laughing. “That was in the Billy Brown scene. He threw me up against a wall. All I can say is I was totally committed to the scene.”
“People have sex onscreen, and, now, we know people don’t have sex like that,” said Davis while speaking on a panel at the Paley Center in New York.
“Nobody puts down a towel. At some point I said, ‘I’ve got to take the wig off before somebody throws me up against the wall. Who gets thrown up against a wall!? I mean, I’d throw my neck out. Those scenes I feel go too far.”
