Women’s Empowerment 2016: R&B and Gospel Star Dave Hollister – All week long, we’ll be re-introducing you to the works of some of the stars  scheduled in the line up for Women’s Empowerment 2016.

So get ready for R&B and Gospel star Dave Hollister who is  known for the catchy and classic-sounding ballad “Spend the Night” and he’s also a cousin of R&B duo K-Ci & JoJo. Hollister first found success in the early ‘90s and appeared with 2Pac on tracks “Brenda’s Got a Baby,” and Keep Ya Head Up,” among others.  He was also one of the original members of Teddy Riley’s R&B super group, Blackstreet.  

After leaving Blackstreet, Hollister  went on to sell over 2 million albums and over 420,000 singles as a solo artist.  His first two solo albums, Ghetto Hymns and Chicago 85, both went Gold and included the top ten hit singles “My Favorite Girl” and “One Woman Man.”
