On Saturday, at Women’s Empowerment 2016, an excited crowd of over 10,000 women jammed into the PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC. Those in attendance got a chance to see Actor/Author Darrin Henson alongside his wife, Lizet as the couple shared insightful relationship tips for married couples.
Darrin and his wife were featured on the Black Love panel moderated by Darlene McCoy. Onstage with the couple were David and Tamela Mann and J.J. and Trina Hairston. One of the takeaways from the panel was the point Darrin Henson made about what it takes to keep your relationship going strong, especially when you’re in the entertainment industry. He mentioned that a relationship is about two people relating to one another. And if you intend to keep your marriage strong, you have to get aboard “the ship” and ride it together.
The MTV Award-winning choreographer and four-time NAACP Image Award-nominated actor, established himself as a film and television mainstay nearly 15 years ago with his breakout role playing Lem Van Adams on the hit Showtime series, Soul Food.
Darrin has become a broadly-requested speaker and author of a recently released book, Ain’t That The Truth. He and his wife are currently on tour with Lipsticks & Conversations for Loud’e Cosmetics.
