Last month Drake unveiled his very own brand of whiskey – Virginia Black – via Instagram.
“After that legendary moment what else is there to do but celebrate with class. Virginia Black coming soon…,” he wrote.
Virginia Black will be available in California, New York, and Nevada, and the timing couldn’t be better, correlating with Drake’s newest album, Views, which debuted April 29.
Brent Hocking, the founder and creator of the original DeLeòn Tequila, collaborated with Drake to create a whiskey that offers “luxury with an edge.”
Hocking commented on the collaboration saying that it is “Uniquely positioned to redefine American Whiskey, [and that] Virginia Black will engage enthusiasts irrespective of spirit preference or experience.”
Virginia Black is described as a personally selected collection of two, three, and four-year old bourbon whiskey focused on a high-rye content and finished with a decadent profile.
“We believe everyone should have access to glamour, swagger, and soul,” the duo added. “Our price point grants them that access, allowing people to embody the lifestyle always, not just on special occasions.” Read more…
