Derrick Rose is scheduled to go to trial on Oct. 4 facing a $21.5 million civil suit on allegations of rape. Rose reportedly isn’t worried about the trial or allegations.

“I’m not really worried about it,’’ Rose said Monday at the Knicks’ Media Day function at the Ritz-Carlton in White Plains. “But if I do have to miss time, it’s a part of it. Of course I don’t want to be in this position. It is what it is. I’m going to let my lawyer team handle it.” The New Post reports: Rose is being sued for $21.5 million regarding a 2013 incident in which his former girlfriend alleges she was gang-raped by Rose and two friends.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed having an “open criminal investigation” into the allegation. Rose said he was unaware of the criminal investigation, but realizes the case has garnered mounds of negative publicity in recent weeks.
