Last year, the longtime on air comedian on “The Tom Joyner Morning Show,” J. Anthony Brown, walked away from his on air job because of a rumored 50 percent pay cut. Recently, J. Anthony Brown announced that he was joining rival radio show host, Steve Harvey.
“It was not a salary dispute,” Brown told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “It was based on me wanting to venture out and have my own weekend show. That’s it. We couldn’t come to terms. It was just time for me to leave… Sometimes people just disagree and part ways. That’s just what happened. It was absolutely the best job I’ve ever had. The most fun I ever had.”
Brown says on 28 April 2017, he’ll be taking over the weekend slots on Steve Harvey’s show counting down the top 10 songs.
