Pageant Winner Serenity Selected to Represent North Carolina in Miss Heart of the USA Pageant –

10 year old, Serenity, a 5th grader living in Wayne County NC, has been selected to represent North Carolina in the 2015 NC State Miss Heart of the USA Pageant . From an an early age, Serenity struggled with reading and her height and full figure was a constant reminder that she was different from her peers. However, even with those obstacles confronting her, she was able to set aside her insecurities and forged ahead to discover something that made her feel good about herself.

Serenity began doing community service alongside her parents and that’s where she discovered her passion for  assisting others through community Miss Heart of the USAservice.   Serenity also tapped into a very inspirational and empowering connection when her auntie Tiffany Bridger’s, a pageant mom and Preliminary Director of Pageantry, introduced her to the pageant world. Through the vast world of pageantry, Serenity is able to model, have fun, raise awareness, and make life better for others by sharing her ideas to help the community.

Serenity has been selected to represent North Carolina in the 2015 NC State Miss Heart of the USA Pageant  on Aug 21 & 22 in Durham NC. She is very happy about her selection and she has aspirations to become an actress. All things are looking very promising for Serenity.  On July 25th, 2015, she was signed to a talent agency. When questioned about her plans to pay for her acting lessons, she said she has planned to organize fundraisers to help her parents pay for her professional coaching, modeling, and acting expenses.

To date, Serenity has dedicated hundreds of hours to community service. She has collected over 1,000 food items on her own; decorated, and delivered 45 Easter Baskets to Nursing homes in Edgecombe and Wayne Counties; and spearheaded two clothes drives.

Serenity holds the titles of QNC Novice Supreme 2014-2015 Birthday Bash Princess, 2015 Supreme Queen Super Girl, Most Personality and Supreme Beauty for Queens of NC in her division & In the Miss Heart of The USA system her titles include:  Cover Miss 2015 for Edgecombe County NC, Petite MISS Edgecombe County 2015 and Pikeville NC Petite MISS for 2015 representing her home of Wayne County.

The Miss Heart of the USA Pageant is a unique national pageant program that focuses on teaching girls the importance of giving back to their community.  The Miss Heart of the USA pageant sets itself apart from other pageants by featuring food drives as part of their pageant.

Serenity’s overall platform for her community service is Veterans of America. Serenity raises awareness on veteran issues like homeless vets, hungry vets, and the mental & physical health of veterans in America.Serenity Pictured with Her Parents

As we are all aware, participating in pageants of this magnitude can be pricey. So, in an effort to raise funds for the pageant and also help small businesses, churches, and nonprofit organizations reach thousands through advertising, there’s an amazing opportunity to participate in Serenity’s journey to be Miss Hearth of the USA.
