The 2015 Miss Universe Pageant ends with what some are calling the biggest TV fail of the year. Viewers and pageant contestants were stunned when host Steve Harvey, instead of announcing Colombia as the first runner up, declared her as the winner and new Miss Universe.

After several minutes, he returns to the stage to apologize and clean up the mistake. Moments of awkwardness ensued as some of the audience cheered while others booed as Miss Philippines accepted her crown.

Harvey immediately apologized for the mistake calling it a “human error,” and apologized on Twitter.

“I’d like to apologize wholeheartedly to Miss Colombia & Miss Philippines for my huge mistake. I feel terrible.”

The Miss Universe organization issued a statement on Sunday night for the mix-up without placing blame on any particular individual.

However, according to US Weekly, Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, however, continues to consider Gutierrez, 21, Miss Universe. “I was watching Miss Universe with my family and we even celebrated when we heard Colombia was going to be Miss Universe for the second year in a row. Miss Colombia was marvelous and spectacular,” he said on Monday, via TMZ. “For me, Miss Colombia is Miss Universe and will continue to be Miss Universe. They placed the crown on her, there is a photo and for me as a Colombian she will continue to be Miss Universe.”
