Stacey Dash Slams BET in a Blog Post: Expounds on Her Oscar Comments –

Former actress and current Fox News pundit Stacey Dash has decided to double down on controversy. In a blog post titled “How BET Lies to Black People,” Dash claimed that places BET continue to promote segregation:

“Well, here’s the thing. Thank you for reminding me, since most people have never heard of that show. Why? It’s on BET. Quick. Name the top shows on BET. Drawing a blank? I think I’ve made my point. I’m thankful for all of the acting jobs I’ve had. But I look forward to the day when people don’t self-segregate based on skin color, while loudly complaining about a segregated society.
Dash then decided to hold BET, and not, you know, oppressive white power structures, responsible for racism.”

“BET lies to American black people by telling them that the rest of America is racist, so stick close to your own kind. Anything that promotes segregation is bad! And they’re absolutely mortified that someone like me — an independent-thinking black woman — dares call their bluff. Pre-Order my Upcoming Book!”

US Magazine – BET then chimed in via Twitter, linking to a gallery produced by its website titled “Every Time Stacey Dash Proved She Was Clueless.” The network featured some of Dash’s recent controversies, including her comments from Wednesday morning. “She thinks there needs to be a white history month too, since, you know, our ancestors apparently fought for nothing,” BET’s caption read. “Clueless indeed.”
