William Shatner Star Trek Star Facing $170 Million Paternity Suit

In court documents published by Page Six, Peter Sloan claims his biological mother, Canadian actress Kathy McNeil, had a short affair with Shatner while they were working together in Toronto. The late actress gave Sloan up for adoption five days after his birth.

In his lawsuit, Peter Sloan claims that William Shatner’s denial of paternity resulted in his Twitter account under the name of Peter Shatner being shut down, purportedly because it violated the social media site’s “impersonation policy.” Peter Sloan’s Internet Movie Database account was also reportedly delete, reports the Inquisitr.

Sloan is seeking, through his civil lawsuit, a total of $170 million in compensation. He is asking for $30 million in compensatory damages, $90 million in punitive damages, and $50 million in damages related to the “pain and suffering” he claims to have endured.

Shatner has denied he is Sloan’s father, according to court documents.

According to the lawsuit, Sloan met Shatner in 1984 on the Burbank, California set of T.J. Hooker, and Sloan claims the actor admitted to being his father and invited him to return to the set the next week.  Read more…
