Beyoncé Launches New Fitness Clothing Line, Ivy Park & Talks Candidly with ELLE Magazine – Every time Beyoncé drops something new, we know the Beehive is anxiously waiting to get their hands on it. But this time – Queen B didn’t drop a new single or album. Instead, she launched her own fitness clothing line.
NY Mag – Per a release from the brand, Ivy Park— which happens to evoke both the singer’s daughter’s name and that of her company, Parkwood Entertainment— is a joint venture with Topshop CEO Sir Philip Green. (We know she’s already a devoted fan of Topshop.) It is not, as has been widely reported, a Topshop collaboration. However, it will be sold at Topshop, as well as at Nordstrom and Net-a-Porter. Queen B just posted a teaser image on her Instagram.
The release from the company says it’s targeting “all women of all body types, all sizes, and all price-points”— indeed, the 200-piece collection ranges in size from XXS to XXL. Members of the Beyhive, or people who are simply in the market for affordable athleisure, can get their hands on it in mid-April.
The Beyoncé new fitness clothing line Ivy Park, is named after a park in her neighborhood that she frequently went running in.
In the video, she talks about her childhood and how her father used to wake her up in the mornings to tell her it’s time to go running.
“I remember wanting to stop but I would push myself to keep going.”
She calls Ivy Park a “state of mind,” that allows her to conquer anything thrown at her in life.
The new fitness line will be available April 14, 2016 at Top Shop, Nordstrom, Zalando, Selfridges, JD Sports and Net-a-porter.
Exclusively talking to Elle Magazine for their May issue, Bey talks fashion, fitness and feminism for fans and readers.
In this worldwide ELLE exclusive, Beyoncé gives a rare in-depth interview, in which she speaks candidly about how the first Destiny’s Child album helped her discover she had real power, why she approached Topshop to be her 50-50 partner in Ivy Park, the true meaning of feminism, what she wants to accomplish next, her “Formation” message, and much more. Here’s, the full interview.
