As Contemporary R&B continues to be eroded from multiple waves like pop and Hip-hop, R&B songstress Monica unites with Jeezy for a remix of “Hustler’s Ambition.”
Over the guitar-driven beat, produced by Akon and Philip “Hardwork” Constable, the Snowman raps about being “addicted to the grind” on his opening verse.
The original version of the smooth record lives on Monica’s latest album Code Red, which she released last December.
NY Times describes “Hustler’s Ambition,” as an elegant duet with Akon and one of this album’s best songs, it’s subject matter: The song is about the committed love between a criminal and his woman.
