Tyler Perry’s “Boo! A Madea Halloween” released by Lionsgate, remained No. 1 at the box office for the second week. The Halloween-themed “Boo,” has grossed over $52 million and that number is expected to continue climbing.
The Inquisitr reports that Boo! A Madea Halloween has the ability to appeal to a wider audience than previous Madea offerings. “The president of Lionsgate’s domestic theatrical distribution David Spitz has already indicated that the movie is crossing over nicely. He has high hopes that the film will over perform next weekend as well. The typical Tyler Perry production attracts an up to a 90 percent African American audience. So far, the audience watching Boo! A Madea Halloween has been comprised of 32 percent Caucasian and Latino viewers and 60 percent African American viewers.”
