A woman being dragged from a Delta flight bound for San Diego was captured on cell phone video. According to a statement from the Wayne County Airport Authority. around 8 a.m. the flight crew requested assistance from the Detroit Metropolitan Airport’s police department due to a passenger not complying with boarding and baggage check procedures.
When the unidentified woman allegedly walked past agents at the gate without showing an her I.D. or a boarding pass, authorities were alerted. Officers requested that the woman leave the plane, but the woman refused. Airport police responded by dragging her from the flight.
According to Rene deLambert, the woma stormed past the gate agent and failed to check in ‘because she wasn’t an early boarder’ before demanding overhead bin space, FOX reported.
She was arrested for violation of airport ordinances, including failure to leave the aircraft, although she has not been formally charged, the spokesperson said.
The video of the black woman being dragged by a police officer, quickly went viral and sparked conversations across social media.
