The Obsession With Ivanka Trump: Is She the Real Next First Lady?

Donald Trump has a lot to be proud of these days. His presidential election win and his daughter, Ivanka Trump.  The obsession with Ivanka is obvious as Donald Trump often comments about his daughter in a way that just doesn’t seem all that appropriate.  But , hey it’s Donald Trump.  Trump’s love, loyalty, and obsession with Ivanka is so intense that political commentators are claiming that Ivanka is the real next First Lady.

Throughout history, Trump’s comments about his daughter have raised eyebrows and peaked our curiosity about just how close the daughter and father duo really are.

Ivanka is the successful Ivy league educated daughter of Trump’s first wife, Ivana, who was a model from the former Czechoslovakia.  Trump makes unending comments about his daughter and here’s just a few of those eyebrow raisers.

Howard Stern’s show in 2003:

You know who is one of the great beauties of the world, and I helped create her? Ivanka. My daughter, Ivanka. She’s six feet tall. She’s got the best body. She made a lot of money as a model—a tremendous amount. And then she went cold turkey and gave it all up, because she had to go to college. Because I wanted her to go to college. She goes to the best college.

Look at this beautiful, perfect, f….. creature I created, says Donald Trump.

You might recall the horrific statement Trump made back in a 2006 appearance on The View when Trump was discussing the chance of his daughter Ivanka posing nude in Playboy! With Ivanka seated beside him, he said the following:

It would be really disappointing — not really — but it would depend on what’s inside the magazine. I don’t think Ivanka would do that, although she does have a very nice figure. I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.

In 2013, Trump and Ivanka went on Wendy Williams show.  When asked  about his favorite thing he has in common with his daughter, Trump answered with a smirk:

Well, I was going to say “sex,” but I can’t relate that to her.

Without a doubt, the comments may have been taken out of context. Back then, hardly anyone, but Trump himself understood what he meant. But fast forward to 2016 and we clearly understand why Ivanka Trump would be an ideal catch for a power hungry, future US president like Donald Trump.   She is indeed the shining star of the Trump family and seems to be the one who inherited all of her father’s entrepreneurial traits. She graduated summa cum laude from Wharton School of Business with a degree in economics.   Not only does she have the brains, but Trump thinks she has the best body as well.

His wife Melania Trump has presented herself as a far less conventional campaign spouse and was reluctant about her husband’s presidential bid from the start.

In a Washington Post interview in April, then-candidate Donald Trump described Melania’s reluctance: “We have such a great life. Why do you want to do this?” he said she asked him. He replied with his usual modesty: “I sort of have to do it, I think. I really have to do it.” Ivanka doesn’t share her stepmother’s reticence.

It was the always seemingly cool and calm Ivanka who campaigned alongside her father. It was also Ivanka, not Malania, who introduced Donald Trump as the Republican nominee for President of the United States.

Here’s what Trump said after  with Rolling Stones praised Ivanka to her father,  “Yeah, she’s really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father . . . ”

“I think her father really listens to her, and when I say listens to her I mean I think her father respects her a great deal, and not just because she’s his daughter,” said  a longtime friend of the Trump family, Carl Icahn in a New York Times editorial.

Next month, during the inauguration, Trump’s wife Melania Trump will be officially named as the First Lady, but daughter Ivanka Trump is already becoming known as America’s other next first lady.
