Taraji P. Henson and Tyler Perry Talk Bidding On Painting, Gun Control, Diversity, and ‘Acrimony’

The “Empire” star, Taraji P. Henson linked up with director and producer Tyler Perry for an appearance on “The View” yesterday. The two celebs shared the funny story about how Tyler was bidding against Beyonce and Jay Z’s daughter, Blue Ivy for a painting of Sidney Poitier.  They also talked about diversity and the new movie, “Acrimony.” Check it out.


Taraji and Tyler also met up with Taraji’s on-screen husband in the movie, Lyriq Bent for an interview with Hoda Kotb at a live event at the SiriusXM Studio. The actors got into a deep discussion on gun control and school shootings. Tyler Perry said he owns guns to include AR-15s, yet he stands behind the kid’s marches to change new gun control laws.
