Cari Champion Lands New Gig as SportsCenter Anchor – Cari Champion hosted her last episode of First Take on June 19 and according to Debbie Emery of the Wrap, Champion will begin her morning “SportsCenter” duties in mid-July and will take part in a series of “interactions” about sports and entertainment with the crew at “Good Morning America,” which airs on ESPN sister station ABC.

After six months of petitioning ESPN to become an anchor on SportsCenter, Champion was promoted to the position. Prior to joining ESPN in 2012, Champion served as an entertainment/lifestyle reporter for “The Insider,” Hollywood 411 and Starz Entertainment.
