Blacks Racially Profiling other Blacks: Why Did Claudia Jordan Feel She was Racially Profiled?

Claudia Jordan feels she was racially profiled while visiting the Auburn Mall in Alabama this year. When asked by a black security officer to remove her sun glasses, Claudia refused to do so and was then escorted out by a white security guard.  After the ordeal, Claudia felt that she had been racially profiled.

According to Centric TV: Jordan documented the ordeal on Instagram in two separate videos.

In the first video, Jordan is confronted by a black security guard who says she must remove her sunglasses unless she has a medical condition. In the second video, she is seen being escorted out by a white security guard. She notes that several white shoppers were also wearing sunglasses inside but were never harassed.

“Please do NOT tell me racism is dead. I’m a classy, educated woman with no criminal record simply wanting to shop in the local mall who was harassed by punk ass mall security and police were called,” she wrote on Instagram.

“The message is clear- our KIND was not welcomed here and they are willing to use any excuse to get us all the way up outta there. Way to go Auburn Mall!”

Jordan had been in town to see Ginuwine perform in concert.

Auburn Mall has yet to release a statement about the incident.

What are your thoughts after seeing the videos?  Should Claudia just have removed her sun glasses and moved on? Are blacks profiling other blacks, or is this just a big deal over nothing?
