“Get Off Your Phone”  Raven-Symone Blames Spring Valley Student For Assault –

Raven-Symone’s stance on the Spring Valley High School assault is no different than her recent unpopular commentary on other polarizing topics of conversation on The View.

After the video of Officer Ben Fields surfaced online showing him grabbing a high school student by her neck, throwing her to the floor, and dragging her out of her chair, the controversial host pointed out that the girl was being disobedient.

“The girl was told multiple times to get off the phone. There’s not right or reason for him to be doing this type of harm, that’s ridiculous,” she said. “But at the same time, you gotta follow the rules in school. First of all, why are there cellphones in school? This shouldn’t even be a problem to begin with, and he shouldn’t have been acting like that on top of it.”

Paula Faris attempted to assert that children lack “respect for authority.” Blaming parents for not instilling said respect, Faris suggested that parents expect school administrators to discipline their kids after they’ve been “bringing their kids up wrong.”

Raven-Symone added a few facts regarding Officer Fields’ history, while asking what the child was “doin’ on Instagram.”

Watch the conversation above beginning at the 2:50 mark.
